- Is the ATS checker free?
- Yes — completely free, no account, no card. A per-network rate limit applies; if you reach it, wait and try again.
- What happens to my resume file?
- Uploading sends your file to our server for text extraction. Pasting runs the text checks in your browser without uploading a file. Review our Privacy page for data-handling information.
- How is the score calculated?
- It is the weighted share of our rules that pass. We choose the weights and thresholds; they are not an employer benchmark. Checks include detected contact details, recognized headings, date and bullet patterns, plus available file signals. Every rule is listed. A rule can be inappropriate for your situation, so review the prompt rather than adding content just to raise the score.
- Is this the real score a company's ATS will give me?
- No. This is our weighted checklist score. It does not connect to an employer's applicant tracking system, reproduce its parsing or ranking, or predict selection. Inspect the recovered text and individual checks; follow the employer's submission instructions.
- Why should I upload the file instead of pasting the text?
- A file lets our extractor inspect available layout signals and recover its text. Pasting skips file checks. Some signals are unavailable even with an upload, and a flagged image, table or column does not prove a reading problem. Compare the recovered text with the original.
- My score is high but I'm not getting interviews. What now?
- A high score means your document passed more of our checks. It does not rule out formatting problems or explain an employer's decision. Review the exported document and the posting, and make relevant experience clear without adding unsupported claims.
